Thursday Nights

These are my reports of the games we play and our views of the weaknesses and strengths of the games. I will be blunt, truthful and not always kind (except about my D&D Campaign!)

Tonight there was only the Squire missing (watching his son being a grumpy Dwarf), so as we had promised Malcolm and Gareth that we would play Munchkin when they were down next that was the game we played “Munchkin Cthulhu”

I know this will sound strange but Malcolm and Gareth had never played munchkin of any kind, so before I arrived “fashionably late as usual” the others taught them the basics, then we started the game, and it lasted a long time, the usual mix of leader changing, I went through a patch of getting nice cards in front of me by helping out others, but on my own turn never drawing any monsters to fight apart from the very large ones which I had to run from! Sir Keith on the other hand I thought had a small monster card stuck to his hand as every turn there one appeared in front of him like a lamb to the slaughter, no cards could get these 1 level monsters up to a decent level to try and test his running ability. Well as I said the game carried on til 4 of us were on level 9, three times around the table each of us tried to win the game without any luck, so as it was getting truly late we decided to call it a draw.

This is our last Thursday night of the Year as on the 19th it is the traditional Card game night (Poker, 21, you get the drift and they get my shirt!) so from me and all the Thirsty Knights (including Malcolm and Gareth) would like to wish all our readers a Merry Christmas, Seasons Greetings and Happy new Year to you all.
